About Shree Maharaj Ji Founder of Shri Harmilap Mission His Holiness Shri 1008Bal Brahmchari Sri Harmilapi Ji Maharaj(27th December 1910 - 19th December 1991) Hon'ble Shri 1008 Bal Brahmchari Sri Harmilapi Ji Maharaj, Founder of Harmilap Mission and generally known as Shri Muni Ji Maharaj, was born on 27th December 1910 in Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan Since his childhood, he was very kind to the poor. His main object was to serve the society and nation, establishing national integrity and brotherhood among different communities, as the word Harmilap reveals. According to him, to love mankind is the ultimate prayer of God. Therefore, he gave this message through a slogan: हरमिलापी बनकर दुनिया में सदा गुजारन कर। दिल किसी का मत दुखा तू हर में हर पहचान कर।। The above slogan is self-explanatory of the motto and object of Sri Harmilap Mission. A Muslim Seth named Fazal Rahman (Chunna Mian), inspired by the views of Shri 1008 Shri Harmilapi Ji Maharaj, built a Laxmi Narain Mandir in Bareilly, creating an example of National Integrity and Communal brotherhood. Shri 1008 Sri Harmilapi Ji Maharaj started a number of schools in Meerut, Badaun, Kanpur, etc., and quite a few dispensaries and hospitals were also built in Haridwar, Vrindavan, Mainpuri, etc., where free treatment is being given. One hundred-bed hospital of hundred beds in Haridwar was also donated by him to the State Government, and he also provided a women's general ward of eighteen beds to Ram Krishna Mission Hospital, Haridwar. Number of free Dharamshalas like Harmilap Bhawan of 90 rooms in Haridwar and Harmilap Prem Niketan in Vrindavan were also built by Şhri Maharaj Ji, providing the facility for free stay to pilgrims. In Kanpur, the prestigious Harmilap Mission School in Ratan Lal Nagar is another example of dedication of Harmilap Mission Trust towards common welfare. The foundation stone of the institution was laid by the Holy hands of Shri 1008 Shri Harmjlapi Ji Maharaj. Leaving behind his inspiration and message "Har-Milap", the symból of national integrity and common brotherhood, he left for his heavenly journey on 19th December, 1991.
