Rules & Regulations For Students

At Harmilap Mission School, Ratan Lal Nagar, Kanpur, discipline and respect form the foundation of our learning environment. The Code of Conduct is designed to guide students in developing responsibility, integrity, and good citizenship, while ensuring a safe and positive atmosphere for everyone on campus.

General Expectations

  1. Students must maintain discipline, honesty, and respect in all aspects of school life.
  2. Courtesy towards teachers, staff, classmates, and visitors is expected at all times.
  3. The use of polite language and good manners is mandatory within and outside the school premises.

Attendance & Punctuality

  1. Regular attendance is compulsory. Absence without prior permission is discouraged.
  2. Students must arrive on time for school, classes, assemblies, and all scheduled activities.
  3. Repeated late arrivals or unexplained absences may invite disciplinary action.

Uniform & Appearance

  1. The school uniform must be worn neatly and correctly every day.
  2. Personal hygiene and grooming are important; students must come to school well-dressed and tidy.
  3. Use of cosmetics, jewellery, or inappropriate accessories is not permitted.

Academic Integrity

  1. Students are expected to complete all classwork, homework, projects, and assignments honestly.
  2. Cheating, plagiarism, or unfair means during exams or assessments will not be tolerated.
  3. Respect for school property, books, and resources is essential.

Behavior in Campus & Beyond

  1. Students must keep the campus clean, safe, and litter-free.
  2. Bullying, fighting, abusive language, or any form of discrimination is strictly prohibited.
  3. Respectful behavior must extend beyond the classroom—during sports, cultural activities, educational trips, and when representing the school in public.

Use of Technology

  1. Mobile phones, smart watches, or electronic gadgets are not allowed unless specifically permitted for academic purposes.
  2. Misuse of technology, including social media, to harm or defame others will result in strict disciplinary measures.

Responsibilities Towards the School Community

  1. Students should take pride in their school and uphold its values at all times.
  2. Cooperation with teachers, active participation in school activities, and adherence to rules contribute to a positive learning environment.
  3. Any behavior that disrupts teaching, learning, or school discipline will be addressed firmly

Recommendations To Parents

At Harmilap Mission School, Ratan Lal Nagar, Kanpur, we believe that parents and the school share the responsibility of guiding students towards discipline, learning, and overall development. To ensure smooth functioning and the well-being of all students, we request parents and guardians to kindly follow these recommendations:

  1. Parents are expected to co-operate with the school authorities in enforcing regulations and discipline. They should see to it that their children prepare their lessons and take an active interest in the activities of the school.
  2. Parents are requested to sign progress reports or any other information where so requested. Failure to do so will cause great mutual inconvenience.
  3. Private tuitions are not encouraged. Parernts/guardians should not make private arrangement for tuition with the members of the staff without consulting the Principal. Harmilap Mission School teachers are not permitted to give private tuition to their own pupils.
  4. Parents and guardians are specially requested to notify the school of any change in their address and phone number.
  5. When communicating with the Principal, Parents are requested to mention in their letter the name, class, and section of their child.
  6. Parents/Guardians or other persons are not allowed to see the pupils or teachers during class hours without the sanction of the School Authorities as noted in the school diary.
  7. Parents are requested not to send for their children during the class hours, except in case of unforeseen circumstances, and in such cases the child will be handed over to the PARENTS OR AUTHORISED GAURDIAN ONLY.
  8. All belongings of the child must carry the name, class, and section of the owner.
  9. Children coming late to school will be sent back.
  10. Parents are requested to inculcate in their children habits of neatness and punctuality.
  11. Parents are requested not to send the child to school if he/she is not feeling well.
